Here were some suggestions I received and put together for fall and winter fishing close to town. These lakes are stocked with trout - Shawnee Mission Park, Heritage Park, Wyandotte County Lake Park, and James A. Reed (Alex George won't be stocked this year). A couple of possible year round warm water places might be LaCygne as well as Coffee County Lake (formerly Wolk Creek). Othere suggestions were
Amerugia, Hoag strip pits, Longview Lake, Alex George Lake, Harmony Mission Lake, Kill Creek Lake, Lenexa Lake, Leavenworth Lake, Louisburg Lake, Gardner Lake, Baldwin City Lake, Olathe Lake, Middle Creek Lake, Lone Jack Lake, Clinton Lake, Cedar Creek Lake. Please comment on any other suggestions.
